Can you believe it is already time for the second Excelero digest? We have some exciting updates, so let’s skip the intro and dig right into it:

Excelero at SuperComputing 2017 (SC17)

For SC17, we chose to leverage our strong partner ecosystem. As a result, you will find Excelero all over the showfloor, in over half a dozen of booths, with an impressive range of use cases, including the SolidScale RA with Supermicro, a live high-performance Spectrum Scale demo at the Mellanox booth, the Talyn server at Boston Limited and much more with Lenovo, ArcaStream, Echostream and Intel.

By far the coolest event will be the live NVMesh demo in the Mellanox booth #653. We will be demonstrating the NVMesh’s Spectrum Scale integraton for HPC applications, using the SuperMicro BigTwin and Mellanox’s ConnectX as a pivotal underlying technology. Backed by Mellanox’s end-to-end Ethernet solution, Excelero customers can deploy high-performance NVMe SSDs as a unified, data center-scale storage infrastructure to run high-performance workloads such as burst buffer. SciNet Relies on Excelero for High-Performance, Peta-Scale Storage at New Supercomputing Facility

Our new customer SciNet has deployed NVMesh™ server SAN for the highly efficient, cost-effective storage behind a new supercomputer at the University of Toronto. By using NVMesh for burst buffer – a storage architecture that helps ensure high availability and high ROI, SciNet created a unified pool of distributed high-performance NVMe flash that retains the speeds and latency of directly attached storage media, while meeting the demanding service level agreements (SLAs) for the new supercomputer.

Excelero Secures Strategic Investment from Qualcomm Ventures

Last week, we announced we have received a strategic investment from Qualcomm Ventures, the investment arm of Qualcomm, Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM). Qualcomm becomes the third strategic player to invest in Excelero – bringing its CPU expertise to help guide Excelero’s expansion, in concert with two earlier strategic investors.The new investment brings the total of VC funds invested in Excelero to $30 million.

SVC Awards Dinner

Last month we announced that Excelero’s NVMesh has been nominated as finalist for the Innovation of the Year Award at the 2017 SVC Awards.
